The Czech feminist scene. Times of diffusions and convergences

  • Original language description

The chapter proposes the “feminist scene” as a concept to grasp diverse feminist activities and actors and their heterogeneity. The authors revisit the original concept of the (Czech) feminist scene at a time of increased transnational backlash against feminism and rise of digital feminism. The chapter applies the concept to three specific cases of feminist activities in the Czech Republic. We build on previous scholarship and ponder how we can productively conceptualize the links and alliances – convergences – that seem to appear across the feminist scene to provide some hope of survival for the feminist project in adverse conditions and when diffusions are also felt due to digitalization.
