Time Perspective and Housing Inequalities Among Czech Young Adults: The Role of Intergenerational Financial Transfers in the Housing Affordability Crisis
Original language description
This article focuses on housing inequalities and the impact of intergenerational housing transfers on the time perspective of young adults in the Czech Republic. Using the Zimbardo time perspective inventory (ZTPI), the study examines how these transfers influence balanced time perspectives among young adults in four urban centres. Findings show that while the overall sample deviates from a balanced time perspective, those without access to housing transfers display a more negative past outlook and weaker future orientation. This research extends housing inequality literature by highlighting time perspective as a nuanced mechanism affecting socioeconomic strategies and long-term planning.
