Brings to the fore a hitherto neglected booklet containing abridged versions of almost all of Andrea Alciato's emblems, printed in Prague by Paulus Sessius in 1607. Written by Jan Kyrbicer, the text harks back to one of the several editions of Alciato published by Plantin in Antwerp since the late 1560's.
