The presentation discussed Books of Friendship (Alba amicorum) as a source for reconstructing networks in the Early Modern Era. First, it is a source for geographical networks, second, it is for social networks, and third, it is for the cultural transfer of the exchange of ideas. Several examples of books of friendship from the Czech lands demonstrated their potential. Particular attention was paid to the Album amicorum of the Czech nobleman Humprecht Jan Czernin.
