MR tracking of stem cells labeled with superparamagnetic nanoparticles in ischemic brain.
Original language description
Our study demonstrates that grafted MSC and ESC migrate into an injured brain region, where only a small portion differentiated to neurons and astrocytes. The contrast agent, based on iron-oxide nanoparticles, can be used as a marker for long-term noninvasive MR tracking of implanted stem cells.
