DNA repair and cyclin D1 polymorphisms and styrene-induced genotoxicity and immunotoxicity
Original language description
Styrene is a chemical widely in the plastic industry. The main pathway of styrene metabolism in human occurs via the oxidation to styrene-7,8-oxide (7,8-SO). The aim of this study was the investigation of a minor metabolic route, involving the oxidationof the arene moiety of styrene, by means of the characterization of the conjugated urinary metabolites of 4-vinylphenol (4-VP).

Czech description
Styrén má široké použití v průmyslu plastických hmot. Hlavní metabolická cesta probíhá přes oxidaci na styrén 7,8 oxid (7,8 SO). Cílem této studie bylo vyšetřit minoritní metabolickou dráhu, která zahrnuje oxidaci na aromatickém kruhu styrénu, charakterizací konjugovaných metabolitů 4 ? vinylfenolu (4VP).
