The objective of this study is to quantify the differences in birth outcomes between Roma and non-Roma mothers in the Czech Republic and to investigate the potential causes of such differences. The study is based on 8938 non-Roma and 1388 Roma hospitalized singleton births from two Czech districts (Teplice and Prachatice) between 1995 and 2004.

Cílem studie je kvantifikovat rozdíly výsledků těhotenství u rómských matek ve srovnání s nerómskou populací v České republice a studovat možné příčiny těchto rozdílů. Studie hodnotí data z 8938 nerómských a 1388 rómských porodů ze dvou okresů v Čechách(Teplice a Prachatice) v letech 1995-2004.
