Original language description
The frequency of smokers in families of preschool children from the Teplice and Prachatice districts and the exposure of these children to environmental tobacco smoke (ETS) were assayed. The results suggest that children under 5 years of age are significantly exposed to ETS and the risk of being exposed was associated with parental smoking, etnicity, attending kindergarten and the distrrict of residence (more in Teplice than in Prachatice).

Byla studována frekvence výskytu kuřáků v rodinách předškolních dětí z Teplic a Prachatic a stanovována expozice těchto dětí environmentálnímu tabákovému kouři (ETS). Výsledky ukázaly, že děti mladší než 5 let jsou významně exponovány ETS a riziko této expozice souvisí s kouřením rodičů, etnicitou, navštěvováním mateřské školky a místem bydliště (větší expozice dětí ETS v okrese Teplice než Prachatice).
