Comparison of the health of Roma and non-Roma children living in the district of Teplice

  • Original language description

Comparison of the morbidity of Roma and non-Roma children born and living in the polluted district of Teplice, CR. It was found that at the age of 0-2 years the Roma/non-Roma rate rations of the incidence of influenza, otitis media, intestinal infectiousdiseases and viral diseases were statistically associated with the ethnicity. The higher incidence of bronchitis and pneumonia in the Roma children was associated with the low education of mothers and not with the ethnicity. At the age of 2-6 years there was no increase in the morbidity of Roma children over the non-Roma children.
