There are recently no effective treatment protocols for patients suffering from progressive forms of neurological autoimmune diseases. Mesenchymal stem cells possess immunoregulatory, anti-inflammatory and regenerative properties, making them a promising tool to treat autoimmune diseases. In this review we discuss some models of the use of MSCs for the treatment of neurological autoimmune diseases.
