    Electrospinning has been developed as an efficient technique for the fabrication of polymer nanofibers. The aim of the review is to describe the parameters of electrospinning. The electrospinning process is influenced by polymer solution parameters, for example its concentration, viscosity, ionic strength and tensile forces. The electrospinning process is also influenced by processing parameters such as voltage between electrodes, environmental temperature and humidity. Various polymer solutions require different spinning parameters and create fiber matrix with different structures and differnt fiber diameters in range from 10 nm to 2um. Different fiber structures exhibit different chemical and mechanical properties which can be subsequently modified e.g. by cross-linking or recrystallization.
