Paracrine Effects of Mesenchymal Stem Cells on Retinal Disorders
Original language description
Stem cell-based therapy represents a perspective approach for the treatment of retinal diseases. We found that MSCs are able to migrate to the posterior segment of the eye after intravitreal application. We also showed that MSCs produce numerous neurotrophic factor that can support the survival and regeneration of damaged retinal cells.
