A Comparison of Platelet Lysate and Lyophilisate in Cell Culture
Original language description
The necessity for products which accelerate and improve healing processes is in great demand across medical disciplines. Platelets contain numerous bioactive molecules which can be used as a tool for wound healing. We prepared platelet lysate and lyophilisate and the content of bioactive molecules was determined. Moreover, the effect on 3T3 fibroblasts was observed. We found similar concentrations of bioactive molecules in both products, however, in comparison to the platelet lysate, platelet lyophilisate did not sufficiently promote cell viability and proliferation.
