Effect of p-nonylphenol and resveratrol on body and organ weight and in vivo fertility of oubread CD-1 mice

  • Original language description

The aim of this study was to analyse the multigenerational effect of para-nonylphenol (NP) and resveratrol (RES) on the body weight, orgen weight, sperm acrosome integrity and reproductive fitness of outbread CD-1 mice. Np had no effect on the reproductive organs and the kidney in the parental (P) generation males. In females, the effect of NP on body and kidney weight were seen in the P generation, but no effect in the F1 generation. RES had no effect on body weight but did have some effect on selectedmale and female reproduction organs in the P generation. Acrosomal integrity was assessed for both generations of NP- and RES-treated mice. NP had a negative effect on spermatogenesis and sperm quality with a resultant impact on in vivo fertility

  • Czech name

Vliv p-nonylfenolu a resveratrolu na hmotnost těla a orgánů a na fertilitu in vivo u outbredních myší CD-1

  • Czech description

Cílem této studie bylo analyzovat vícegenerační vliv para-nonylfenolu (NP) a resveratrolu (RES) na hmotnost těla a orgánů, na celistvost akrozomu spermií a na reprodukční schopnost outbredních myší CD-1. NP neměl žádný vliv na reprodukční orgány a ledviny samců myší parentální (P) generace. U samic byl vliv NP na hmotnost těla a ledvin pozorován u P generace, ale u F1 generace nebyl pozorován žádný účinek. RES neměl žádný vliv na tělesnou hmotnost, ale do jisté míry ovlivnil některé samčí a samičí reprodukční orgány u P generace. Byla hodnocena celistvost akrozomu u obou generací myší vystavených NP a RES. NP měl negativní účinek na spermatogenezi a kvalitu spermií, což mělo následky na fertilitu in vivo
