Preparation, production and labelling of scFv against TU-20 and HIV.
Original language description
Monoclonal antibody (mAb) TU 20 against beta-III neurotubulin, a specific component of neural cytoskeleton, is useful for labelling with radioactive nuclides and consequent detection of local levels of neurotubulin or its fragments in patients' tissues.Findings of increased local levels may indicate certain neurodegenerative diseases or an acute damage of neural cells. This work describes production of a recombinant single-chain form (scFv) of mAb TU20, the procedures for its labelling with iodine radionuclides, and assessment of stability and antigen-binding properties of the radiolabelled product in ELISA tests.
