Boar epididymal fluid proteins: their isolation and characterization.
Original language description
Mammalian spermatozoa leaving the testis do not have the ability to interact with egg and fertilize it. They gain these abilities while passing through the epididymis. This process is designated as epididymal maturation. During epididymal maturation thesperm plasma membrane is exposed directly to the epididymal fluid. Epididymal fluid contains not only organic and inorganic molecules, but also various proteins, glycoproteins and enzymes.
