Pax-Six-Eya-Dach network during amphioxus development: conservation in vitro but context specificity in vivo
Original language description
Drosophila retinal determination gene network in animals is generally Pax-Six-Eyes absent-Dachshund (PSEDN). We describe complete amphioxus network of 9 PSEDN genes, 4 of which are characterized here for the first time. In vitro interactions among the genes and proteins of amphioxus network resemble those of other animals except for Dach-Eya binding absence. Amphioxus PSEDN genes are expressed in highly stage- and tissue-specific patterns in the gastrular organizer, notochord, somites, anterior centralnervous system, peripheral nervous system, pharyngeal endoderm and the likely homolog of vertebrate adenohypophysis, whose anterior region expresses all amphioxus Six genes and is cell proliferation-active, while the posterior one expresses only AmphiPax6 and is non-proliferative. Topologies of animal PSEDNs, though much more variable than supposed, arethus conserved among species and developing tissues; PSEDNs thus play a key role in critically important early phases of embryology.

Síť Pax-Six-Eya-Dach ve vývoji kopinatce: konzervace in vitro ale kontextová specifita in vivo
Czech description
Popisujeme pax-six-eyes absent-dachshund síť (psedn) u kopinatce.
