L'articolo si occupa di alcuni problemi etici comuni i quali hanno affrontato le case editrici ceche in esilio. Come esempio prende due case editrici, Index e 68 Publishers, entrambe fondate nel 1971: Index a Cologna da Bedřich Utitz, 60 Publsihers a Toronto da Zdena Salivarová e Josef Škvorecký. L'arcticolo si basa sulla corrispondenza tra Utitz, Škvorecký, Müller e Švorecký e tra Škvorecký e i suoi amici cechi.
