Original language description
Presentation of history through fictional scenarios (as in Vasyl Kozhelianko's novel "The Great Parade in Moscow" and Oleksander Irvanets's novel "Rivne-Rovno") involving virtual history is executed by a play on elements of national and Soviet narratives in particular. Here reference is made both to historical events and narrative structures in historiographic and literary representations, since the total narrative system has a decisive role in a narrative's generation. There is an obvious growth of topics on historical memory in literature, cinematography, and popular culture. We can find historical and cultural memory at different levels in productions of subcultural peripheries, in texts from outside traditional canons- for example, texts from trivial, pop and trash I iterature that represent concepts counter to the mainstream. Thus literary texts are an essential medium of the cultural process of the creation of meaning, and due to their fictional creative opportunities, they have a particular contribution to make to the culture of remembrance of meaning.
