The paper deals with the dramatic works of Milan Kundera. The author in the study analyses the poetics of his plays The Owners of the Keys, The Blunder, Jacques and His Master and Juro Jánošík in the context of contemporary theatre and Czechoslovak history. In addition to the plays officially acknowledged by the author (The Owners of the Keys, The Blunder, Jacques and His Master), the paper also addresses the problem of the concealed authorship of the play Juro Jánošík (and also mentions Kundera's two unacknowledged television and two radio plays).
