Feminist Theory, Anthropology and Engagement
Original language description
The author opens her article with a brief review of the historical developments that have led to the current resurgence of interest in engaged practices and discourse in American cultural and social anthropology. She argues that feminist theory has madea significant contribution to this development and reviews the methodological and practice-oriented feminist critiques that have helped strengthen contemporary anthropologists' claim that engagement is a form of legitimate scientific practice.
