The article answers the question of why Czechia became such a great attractor for Ukrainian refugees in the war that began in 2022 and, at the same time, was able to accept them relatively smoothly and in solidarity. The authors of the text answer this question through the concepts of transnationalism, migration systems theory, migration networks theory, and trauma theory, and, in part, through a collective memory explanation.
