The chapter focuses on the position of the genre "Festchrift" in scientific discourse, its intertextual and interactional aspects, and also on the contributions of individual authors to the volume. Attention is given to their titles, ordering, rhetoricaland stylistic values, different communicative intentions (thanking, congratulating, humorous dedication etc.), as well as to the way in which authors of the contributions manifest their relationship to the personality and works of the honoree.
