The rise and fall of Czech post-dissident liberalism after 1989
Original language description
The article analyzes the rise and fall of the Civic Movement ? the most distinct post-dissident political group in post-1989 Czech politics - during the early 1990s. It focuses on two lines of inquiry, first: it follows the troubles of CM in formulatingclear political line in terms of the early ?politics of history and the rising anticommunism, second: it debates the half-hearted attempt of this political community at political-ideological delineation heading towards socially conceived liberalism.
