On 3-4 November, the Institute of State and Law of the CAS organized the fifth annual international conference SOLAIR 2022 on the topic “Artificial Intelligence for the Safer World.“ The international conference was organized as part of the Czech Digital Week as an official event of the Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union. Partners of the conference were the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, Ministry of Finance of the Czech Republic, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, Czech Technical University, UNIDROIT, Atlantic Council, CEDMO, Microsoft, Amazon, and Amazon Web Services. The event was organized under the auspices of the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Fiala, the President of the Czech Academy of Sciences Eva Zažímalová, the Minister of Finance Zbyněk Stanjura and the U.S. Embassy Prague. The conference was attended mainly by representatives of the Czech Republic, the European Union, the United States, and Israel. The aim of the conference was to discuss how to use and regulate artificial intelligence to help us create a safer world.
