Measurement of biomechanical characteristics of samples of the lumbar part of the spine was carried out on special equipment especially constructed for this purpose. Precisely defined mechanical loads including pressure, flexibility, torsion and their combinations enable to evaluate the degree of stability of various surgical fixation methods.
