We present an application of corpuscular diagnostics for investigation of parameters of ion emission from plasma produced by a high power laser beam with power density up to 10 15 W/cm 2 . These studies were directed towards optimization of ion emissionfrom the laser-produced plasma for possible applications of the expanding laser plasma as a source of highly-charged ions.
