First-principles investigation of the damping of fast magnetization precession in ferromagnetic 3 d metals.
Original language description
We use first-principles electronic structures together with the model of 'breathing Fermi surface' to calculate the magnetic damping rates for ferromagnetic Fe, Co, and Ni. The numerical results are found to be in reasonable agreement with the experimental data at low temperatues.
