Original language description

Tetragonal REB 2 C 2 compounds are usually characterized by competition between quadrupole and magnetic interactions. An exception of this rule is PrB 2 C 2, being a van Vleck paramagnet down to low temperatures. We present wide temperature range measurements of magnetization and specific heat of this compound in external magnetic fields up to 14 T.

Tetragonální REB2C 2sloučeniny charakterizuje soupeření kvadrupolární a magnetické interakce. Vyjímkou tohoto pravidla je PrB 2 C 2, která je van Vleckovský paramagnet až do nízkých teplot. Předkládáme měření magnetizace a měrného tepla v širokém rozmezíteplot ve vnějších magnetických polích až do 14 T.
