Investigation of magnetic response to plastic deformation of low-carbon steel

Result description

Two series of magnetically closed (window-shaped) and open (strip-shaped) low-carbon steel specimens were deformed to different tensile strains up to 20% and magnetically measured (magnetic hysteresis and Barkhausen noise) after unloading. Two-peak profiles of differential permeability and of Barkhausen noise envelope were found and explained by motion of domain walls of two types, existing due to residual intrinsic stresses

    Dvě serie magneticky uzavřených (okénkových) a otevřených (páskových) vzorků nízkouhlíkové oceli byly deformovány tahem na relativní prodloužení až 20% a magneticky změřeny po odtížení pomocí magnetické hystereze a Barhausenova šumu. Profily diferenciální permeability a obálky Barkhausenova šumu se dvěma maximy byly pozorovány a vysvětleny pomocí pohybů doménových stěn dvou typů, ke kterým dochází v důsledku intrinsických vnitřních mechanických napětí
