    High cobalt layer thickness spin-reorientation phase transition

    Static magnetization distribution of cobalt layer is studied by means of micromagnetic simulations in the cobalt thickness range of few tens of nanometers. It has been found that this spin-reorientation undergoes at cobalt thickness equal to ca. 20 nm. For thickness larger than this reorientation thickness, magnetization distribution represents a closed stripe domain structure with Bloch domain walls, the whole similar to a set of vortex with in-plane oriented vortex axis, and an interesting evolution of this distribution in external magnetic fields has been explored.

    Pomocí mikromagnetické simulace se zkoumalo statické rozdílení magnetizace kobaltové vrstvy o tloušťce několik desítek nanometrů. Zvýšení tloušťky vede ke spin-orientačnímu fázovému přechodu (jakmile tloušťka dosáhla hodnoty cca 20 nm), magnetizace přestává být paralelní k ploché vrstvě.
