Diamond detectors for characterization of laser-generated plasma
Result description
CVD mono-crystalline diamond was employed as a detector of the radiation emitted from the laser-generated plasma obtained with a Nd:Yag laser at the INFN-LNS in Catania (1010 W/cm2) and a high-power iodine PALS laser in Prague (1015W/cm2). This detectorswas sensitive to UV, X-rays, electrons and ions. Time-of-flight technique was exploited to distinguish photon, electron and particle contributions.

Czech description
Monokrystalický CVD diamantový vzorek byl použit jako detektor záření z plazmatu generovaného pomocí Nd:Yag laseru v INFN-LNS, Catania (1010 W/cm2) a jódového laserového systému PALS v Praze (1010 W/cm2). Tento detektor byl citlivý na UV, RTG záření, elektrony a ionty. Aplikace techniky time-of-flight umožnila rozlišit odezvu detektoru na fotony, elektrony a ionty.
