This Czech and English publication compiles selected results of the Czech Ministry of Education project "Optical structures, detection systems and related technologies for single-photon applications" 1M06002 obtained during the year 2007. The aim of thisproject consists in the research of optical structures, detection methods, design of detection structures and systems for application of weak electromagnetic radiation in the visible and near UV and IF regions and a development of corresponding opticaltechnologies. This collection is an outcome of Institute of Physics, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, Joint Laboratory of Optics of Palacky University and Institute of Physics of Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, Faculty of Mathematicsand Physics, Charles University, Departments of Optics and Physics of Palacky University, South Bohemia University workers and also scientist from co-operating institutions abroad, especially Estonia, Ukraine and Italy.

Publikace v českém a anglickém jazyce shrnuje vybrané výsledky projektu Ministerstva školství, mládeže a tělovýchovy České republiky 1M06002 dosažené v průběhu roku 2007. Cílem tohoto projektu nazvaného "Optické struktury, detekční systémy a souvisejícítechnologie pro nízkofotonové aplikace" je výzkum optických struktur, metod detekce, konstrukce detekčních struktur a systémů pro aplikace slabého elektromagnetického záření ve viditelné a blízké ultrafialové a infračervené oblasti a rozvoj odpovídajících optických technologií. Na sborníku se podíleli pracovníci Fyzikálního ústavu Akademie věd České republiky, Společné laboratoře optiky Univerzity Palackého a FZÚ AV ČR, Matematicko-fyzikální fakulty Univerzity Karlovy, kateder optiky a fyziky UniverzityPalackého, Jihočeské univerzity a některých spolupracujících zahraničních pracovišť v Rusku, Ukrajině, Německu, Itálii, Švýcarsku, Číně a Slovensku.
