    Properties of magnetic poly(glycidyl methacrylate) and poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) microspheres

    Iron oxide colloids were prepared by coprecipitation of Fe(II) and Fe(III) salts in alkaline media and stabilized by perchloric acid, oleic acid, or poly(acrylic acid). In an attempt to obtain magnetic polymer microspheres differing in size, dispersion polymerization of glycidyl methacrylate in ethanol containing HClO4-stabilized magnetite, dispersion copolymerization of GMA and 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate in toluene/2-methylpropan-1-ol mixture in the presence of oleic acid-coated magnetite, and inversesuspension copolymerization of N-isopropylacrylamide and N,N´-methylenebisacrylamide in cyclohexane in the presence of poly(acrylic acid)-coated maghemite were compared.

    Koloidní oxidy železa byly připraveny srážením Fe(II) a Fe(III) solí v bazickém prostředí a stabilizovány chloristou kyselinou, olejovou kyselinou, nebo poly(akrylovou kyselinou). Ve snaze získat magnetické polymerní mikročástice o různé velikosti, porovnali jsme disperzní polymerizaci glycidyl-methakrylátu (GMA) v etanolu obsahujícím HClO4-stabilizovaný magnetit, disperzní kopolymerizaci GMA a 2-hydroxyethyl-methakrylátu ve směsi toluen/2-methylpropan-1-ol za přítomnosti olejovou kyselinou povlečenéhomagnetitu a inverzní suspenzní kopolymerizaci N-isopropylakrylamidu a N,N´-methylenebisakrylamidu v cyklohexanu za přítomnosti poly(akrylovou kyselinou) povlečeného maghemitu.
