Optimal aperture sizes and positions for EMCD experiments

  • Original language description

The signal-to-noise ratio in energy-loss magnetic chiral dichroism (EMCD)is optimized with respect to the detector shape, size and position. We develop the theory for a simple analytical description of the EMCD experiment. In all cases it is shown that asignificant improvement of the signal-to-noise ratio is possible.

Optimální velikost apertury a pozice pro EMCD experiment
