Original language description
Binary potassium glass was irradiated with 2.5 MeV electrons, the tickness was chosen so as electrons stopped near the back surface. After the depletion from potassium induced by irradiation the volume changes were studied and revealed the top surface iscloser to the pristine glass than the back one.
