Electrostatic field in superconductors III: thermodynamic approach

  • Original language description

In the diamagnetic Meissner state, the superconductor is in the equilibrium. The non-zero electrostatic field thus represents a minimum of the free energy. The thermodynamical formulation of the scalar potential allows us to include forces correspondingto the free energy of condensation - the so called pairing forces.
