Interaction of two plasma jets produced successively from Cu target

  • Original language description

Two successive plasma jets were launched on a copper target with a deep central hole by irradiating it by a high-power PALS laser beam. Mutual interaction of the two plasma jets was studied by using a three-frame interferometric system, X-ray streak camera, and a set of ion collectors. The experiments have shown that the target irradiation geometry plays a decisive role in the jet formation process.
