Original language description
For cheap batch processing of single-grain bulk LRE-123 compounds an appropriate seed is a key prerequisite. Nd-123 thin film grown on MgO substrate was successfully tested as such a seed for cold seeding process. This seed sustains temperatures up to 1100 ^o C and can be thus utilized for growing any of the LRE-123 family superconductors
