Investigation of structural modifications in ferromagnetic materials by magnetic adaptive testing
Original language description
The paper presents some of the latest The paper presents some of the latest results of the Magnetic adaptive testing (MAT) measurement on commercial steel samples degraded by plastic deformation, by decarburization of surfaces, by low cycle fatigue, andby cold rolling simulating radiation embrittlement of the steel. Application of MAT instead of traditional hysteresis tests requires substantially lower magnetization of samples and offers higher sensitivity of detection of changes in the ferromagnetic materials microstructure.
