In the present study, we have made a more systematic investigation of the adhesion, growth, viability, phenotypic maturation and potential immune activation of human osteoblast-like MG 63 cells cultured on NCD films doped with three distinctively different concentrations of boron (133, 1000 and 6700 ppm). We also provide a comparison with undoped NCD films on silicon and standard cell culture substrates, i.e., tissue culture polystyrene and glass
