Self-filtering extremely inclined x-ray crystal monochromator
Original language description
Extremely inclined x-ray double-crystal monochromator diffracts a beam with required wavelength and at the same time it may reflect a great deal of unwanted radiation in a broad region of Bragg angles. This is the generalization of the idea of Cowan & Brennan (1989) which partially solves the radiation heat load problem. In some cases the diffracted beam may be significantly broadened due to refraction effect. In these cases the four-crystal arrangement or the additional mirror is necessary.
