    The optical and scintillation properties of ((Ca1-xNdx)F2+x,NdF3 and (Na0.425Lu0.575-xNdx)F2.15 single crystals grown from the melt by the Micro-Pulling-Down (?-PD) method were compared. Nd3+ 5d-4f luminescence was observed for all the samples under X-ray excitation.
