Topology and solutions in cubic superstring field theory
Original language description
Japan, I note that the space of classical solutions of Berkovits' nonpolynomial string field theory is a proper subset of the space of classical solutions of cubic superstring field theory. This leads to a conjecture that the additional solutions of cubic superstring field theory carry some type of topological charge. To test this proposal, I consider a curious class of universal solutions in cubic superstring field theory which appear not to exist in the Berkovits formalism. The solutions are complex and their physical interpretation is unknown. However, I show that within a certain subalgebra of states, the solutions appear in two topologically disconnected sectors, related by large gauge transformations
