Original language description
Ni-Fe films electroplated under tensile stress on 50 ?m Cu wires were investigated by means of hysteresis loops, FMR (ferromagnetic resonance) and MI (magnetoimpedance). The measurements indicate a strong uniaxial magnetic anisotropy along the wire axisin thin films. With increasing film thickness the anisotropy gradually changes to the hard-wire-axis anisotropy. The behavior is explained by a combination of magnetoelastic and surface anisotropies.
