    New Schiff base compound bis[(2,3,4-trimethoxy- benzylidenepropylideneamino)phenyl]-ether (1) was synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses (CHN), FT-IR and 1H-NMR spectroscopy and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The title compound 1 crystallizes in triclinic system, space group P-1, Z = 2. It displays a trans configuration about the C=N double bonds.
