Raman spectroscopy of dip-coated and spin-coated sol-gel TiO2 thin films on different types of glass substrates
Original language description
Mechanisms of crystallization of sol-gel synthesized titania thin films deposited by means of dip- and spin-coating onto soda-lime glass and quartz glass were studied. The films are characterized by Raman spectroscopy mapping, XPS, SEM, AFM, XRD, GDS andUV-VIS methods. It is shown that dip-coating leads to dense compact layers whereas spin-coated samples exhibit web-like pattern of cracks, from which crystallization proceeds throughout the films.
