Kermesite, Sb2S2O: crystal structure revision and order?disorder interpretation
Original language description
Revision of the crystal structure refinement and interpretation of the mineral kermesite, Sb2S2O, as an order?disorder (OD) structure of layers is presented. The possible maximum-degree-of-order (MDO) polytypes are derived. A twinning is explained as a consequence of the OD character, and a strong desymmetrization is discussed and evaluated.
