Hysteretic properties of magnetic composite microwires

  • Original language description

This Chapter is devoted to study of magnetic hysteresis in microwires using the magneto-optical Kerr effect. It was found different mechanisms of the magnetization reversal in dependence of the external magnetic field configuration. The analysis of the obtained results has been performed using the theoretical model which proposes the existence of four magnetization states with different chirality. The visualization of the classical effect of a giant Barkhausen jump is reported. The nucleation of surfacedomains has been studied over a wide range of magnetic field frequencies and amplitudes.
