Original language description
We analyzed the possibility of occurrence of bimodal distribution function due to fluctuations of nucleation rate. It appears that heterogeneous nucleation always produces unimodal distribution function if number of active sites is large enough. However,in small systems with very limited number of active sites bimodal distribution function of clusters may appear due to just nucleation kinetics even without any cluster removal mechanics (coagulation, sedimentation, etc.).
